Intro.
If I had to choose a favorite Fun95 character, I'd personally pick him. Bubtin is one of my 200+ OCs I created 3 years now, and he's one of the earliest I created in Fun95. Today marks hi 3rd year of existence ever since I created him on this day 2023.
Who's Bubtin?
I'll remove this once I make a proper character guide soon, but basically he's a talking bubble machine who, although very annoying, has a good heart in the end.
Beginnings (9/30/2023-10/01/2023)
My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I think I wanted to create a green video game protagonists, since there weren't a lot of them (not sidekicks, like that one green mustache guy you're thinking of)
I created three concepts for who this character could be, and I guess I stuck with this one.
Fun95 Fact: Bubtin's final design was almost gonna be the image on the right, but it was hard to draw the spikes in pixel art
After The Beginnings But Still Quite Early (10/07/2023-November 2023)
It was around this time where I actually tried to make a game with him, which later became the basis for Bubtin's Blast. Originally, the game was gonna be created on Godot. However, I didn't want to bother learning game dev as much so I gave up. I did, however, create a Games Factory prototype where you could play as Bubtin (which I'll release soon). He didn't really have a name around this time, but I usually refered to him as "Zest" (because he runs fast),"Moctin", or "Bludtin"
Early 2024
Besides art, I didn't really do much with Bubtin at this time. Not much to elaborate on.
June 2024
While I almost drowned that month, it marks Bubtin's biggest game yet; Bubtin's Blast. After doing work on my other game, Cup Game, I decided to challenge myself and to create a platformer on Godot. So I reused the at-the-time 9-month old sprites for Bubtin and created a brand new game. I think the direction for the game would be TOTALLY different if I had worked on it back in 2023, but I'm glad about the way it came out here.
Today.
Since then, Bubtin has been a cool character. He's very cool, and, he blows bubbles. Yeah, I love bubtin.
anyways im gonna release a new update for Bubtin's Blast.
